Two earthquakes shook the San Jacinto area of Riverside County early Wednesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The first — and larger of the two — was a magnitude-3.9 temblor that struck at approximately 12:39 a.m., the USGS’s incident page stated. It was centered two miles north northwest of San Jacinto and 4 miles north of Hemet.

Light shaking was felt throughout Riverside and San Bernardino counties, and as far away as Long Beach and San Diego County, according to USGS.

Another earthquake with a magnitude of 3.0 rattled the area less than two hours later, at about 2:19 a.m.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damages.
